GMC Sierra wins “Best Truck Competition”
The GMC Sierra won the Michigan Auto Times “May the Best Truck Win” competition, and left the Dodge Ram looking like an ugly stepsister. After 3 rounds of evaluations and winning the highest rating of 4 stars in 3 out 4 categories, the GMC Sierra has far and away won bragging rights as the best truck on the market. Oddly enough, the GMC Sierra beat out the Dodge Ram in every category, but the Dodge Ram is $2,000 more! I mean call me crazy, but why would someone ever pay more for a truck that pales in comparison to the GMC Sierra?
Some of the features that really helped to haul in the high ratings included the always popular $5,000 cash back allowance and the On-Star safety feature. These days I don’t think anybody minds pocketing an extra $5,000. The standard On-Star with vehicle diagnostics is a necessity for me because it warns you about a maintenance problem before it cost some unholy amount of money to fix. There is actually nothing more annoying than when you go to get something fixed and the mechanic tells you it could have cost only 20 bucks to repair if they would have caught it earlier, but now it’s going be the price of an arm and a leg. Those numbers will haunt you, but that is what the On-Star feature is for.
The Sierra also bested the Dodge Ram in the comfort category. I, being taller than the average Joe, am one that truly appreciates that little extra head and leg space the GMC Sierra has.
